The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) hosted a webinar entitled, “Innovating for the Future of Nigeria’s Oil & Gas Industry and its Linkage Sectors” on May 14, 2020 to announce a new program called BrentPlus. The goal is to develop a 10-year plan to promote the development of innovative solutions in the O&G sector.
LOCOMeX Founder & CEO Ayo Jemiri understands the historical significance of this program, because over 20 years ago, he was a beneficiary of local content policy when he worked on a major pipeline infrastructure project in the Niger-Delta region of Nigeria. Also, 10 years ago, he advocated and was involved in local content when he collaborated with NCDMB to implement the Nigerian Content Act. Since then, he has worked with the government to drive change that affects now-flourishing local communities.
